Bonding

Bonding is inspired by the loving relationships I have with my female friends and family.

I feel that an easy love and support between them comes through in the painting.

Certain associations I have between colors and emotionally-charged concepts are expressed in my work.

For example, here, I felt blue has the connotation of friendship, while red signifies bonding.

I wanted to focus more on their expression, how an energy of warmth and gentleness emanates from the women’s faces more than other details.
